The only image on Facebook I’ve liked in years. No idea who came up with this idea, but… Come on.
Imagine the DM popping in enemies at will, creating maps while the other players are going through a previous dungeon… You can pull in NPCs when they’re needed, and create helper characters whenever you accidentally overwhelm players! (yeah sure “accidentally” uh-huh)
And no one would ever be able to see your gamepad. You’d have your own digital DM screen.
hhhg

As long as it had an in-game dice system (much like DDO) and a fairly thorough map creator (on par with LBP, but more visually advanced), I think it could be pulled off really well. Even if it was horribly fucked up, I’d still try to play the results. Because hell, other than Legend of Grimrock, there hasn’t been a game that utilized classic RPG mechanics in years.
Plus, with the online aspect of the WiiU, people could share adventures with each other or even act as NPCs if needed. I think that’d be neat as hell.

Ideas like these are why I’m excited for the Wii U. Asymmetric gameplay has a lot of potential for cool and innovative ideas. It’s all a matter of how people apply themselves to the idea.
Also Nintendo would be really smart to give indie devs easy access to the Wii U Devkit, cause that’s the golden ticket. Letting the people who have the craziest and greatest ideas in the industry free reign with your hardware.

what a good idea

this is the best idea anyone’s ever had i’m crying
